FAQs

  • Are your pottery pieces food safe?

Yes! All of my pieces are food safe. We use non-toxic, lead-free glazes so you can enjoy them every day. They are also dishwasher and microwave safe! Sculptural or decorative pieces should not go in the microwave or dishwasher, hand wash the more fragile pieces like my ladies.

  • What is your process?

Each piece begins with raw clay that is shaped by hand. After drying, it’s carefully trimmed, smoothed, and bisque fired in the kiln. I then hand-paint the glazes and fire the piece again at Cone 10, bringing out the unique colors and textures and making it food safe. From start to finish, the process takes several weeks, which is why every item is truly one-of-a-kind.

  • Are all of your pieces one-of-a-kind?

Yes! Each and every piece is individually handmade, so no two are exactly alike. That’s part of the beauty of handmade pottery and why you will never see two of the same item!

  • Do your sculptures work with real candles, or should I use battery-powered ones?

Some sculptures can hold candles, but we recommend using battery-powered or LED candles since the pieces can heat up and become a fire risk if not monitored.

  • Can I return or exchange my order?

Since every piece is handmade and unique, we’re not able to accept returns or exchanges. We want you to love your pottery, though, if there’s ever an issue with your order, please reach out and we’ll do our best to help.
